AS-path for p2p relationship confusion

#1

Regards to Lec11 p50,

Does p2p AS ID only expose to its customers? What about peer’s peers?

What will be AS1’s AS-Path if AS1 and AS2 is p2p, AS3 is a provider of AS2 and AS3 and AS4 is p2p?

Also, what will be AS1’s AS-Path if AS1 and AS2 is p2p, AS2 and AS3 is p2p and AS3 and AS4 is p2p?

The main point of this problem is remind you that a node only shares the paths that it learns from customers to everyone else. And it only share the paths that it learns from a peer to its customers. It was clearly stated in the slides that an AS should not share something that it learns from one peer to another peer. In other terms, we should not have a path that goes through to back-to-back p2p links. For example, we should not have a path like ABC and A and B are peers and B and C are also peers.
